Bhanu Dhir

Bhanu Dhir is CEO of the major charity Steps to Work which helps local people find sustainable, meaningful,  and rewarding work. He has a track record of turning around the performance of organisations from a broad range of sectors: IT services, training companies, the front-line voluntary sector and membership organisations. He has had a range of civic roles including President of a local Chamber of Commerce, Chair of a local economic partnership and Chair of an urban development company. During his forty-four-year career he has led corporate transformation programmes, delivered leadership training to thousands of executives, and had supported voluntary and community organisations across the UK. His current interests include how the arts can be used to facilitate community engagement and how cognitive diversity in the workplace leads to better productivity and decision making. Bhanu is also a business ambassador for Acorns Hospice.
